"This list is a fraud" - WNBA fans erupt as Angel Reese takes lead in ROTY race over Caitlin Clark

WNBA fans didn't take ESPN's latest Rookie of the Year rankings lightly. Angel Reese has surpassed Caitlin Clark on the list. The two rookies have had remarkable seasons, breaking records and making their teams better than they were last season.

As of right now, there aren't more serious candidates to take the ROTY award home. Many fans are convinced that Clark clears Reese in this race, although the Sky forward has played at a good level.

Some fans quickly criticized the list, labeling it a "fraud" and likening it to analysts trying to favor Chet Holmgren over Victor Wembanyama in the NBA.

"If Caitlin Clark isn't #1 this list is a fraud," one fan said. "This is like when they tried to push Chet over Wemby expect 100x worse," another fan said.

More fans criticized the network and said they were biased against Clark. "ESPN does not know ball it seems. Or they're incredibly biased," one fan wrote.

"Anyone who doesn't have Caitlin Clark at #1 is just hating on greatness. Angel Reese is nowhere near CC's level," another fan wrote.

Others compared the records and numbers of both players to make the case for Clark.
