US City Offering $20,000 to Move There

The city of Cumberland, Maryland, is offering a $20,000 incentive to attract new residents.

This limited-time pilot program includes $10,000 in cash for moving expenses

Along with a matching fund of up to $10,000 for approved home renovations or as a down payment on a newly constructed home.

To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the U.S., and relocating from outside Allegany County. 

They should have full-time remote employment, current local employment

Verification of self-employment, or have accepted a new job in the area.

Additionally, applicants are required to purchase a home and live in it as their primary residence for a minimum of five years
